In the lead up to a busy period at Dunedin Airport, it’s timely to offer some handy tips to make travellers’ journeys as stress free as possible.

Over December and January there will be close to 150,000 passengers travelling on flights in and out of Dunedin – and then there’s all the loved ones who are saying hi and bye!

It is already a busy time of year for everybody, and it will be at the airport too, but the following tips are recommended for all visitors to the airport over the busy season:

• Allow yourself plenty of time to get to the airport and find a spot in the carpark.
• Check in online if you can. This will save you time once you get here.
• Give yourself plenty of time at the airport and relax and enjoy something to drink and a tasty treat from Fuel to Fly or Airspresso. Check out the new lounge area too!
• If you’re travelling overseas don’t forget to complete your NZ Traveller Declaration online before you arrive back home.
• Remember that power banks and spare lithium batteries don’t go in your checked luggage, they must be in your carry-on luggage.
