What is Fogcasting?

The Dunedin Connection

Pyper Vision has installed a weather station at Dunedin Airport to collect data for their fogcasting AI and deep learning model. Nick Rodger, Dunedin Airport’s GM Operations and Infrastructure, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration:

A Global Vision

Emily Blythe and Pyper Vision originally set out to develop environmentally sustainable fog dispersal technology but quickly realized that effective fog management starts with better understanding fog patterns. Since pivoting to fog forecasting in 2023, the company has expanded its reach to partners including Dunedin Airport, Hamilton Airport, Air New Zealand, and London City Airport.

While fog forecasting is a critical first step, Pyper Vision’s ultimate mission remains ambitious: to eliminate fog disruptions entirely. Their real-time fogcasting tools provide an immediate revenue stream while paving the way for a groundbreaking fog dispersal solution.
